It is clear that the digital world is constantly evolving. Companies like The Good are a great example of forward thinking people finding ways address these changes.

“We believe the digital world is at a critical time in its evolution. Either it will devolve into search engine optimized keyword-littered drivel covered in ads, or become what we imagine it as: approachable, fascinating, human-friendly awesome.” -the good

However, even in this ever-changing digital era, ink and paper still reign and have the power to reach people in ways that other mediums can’t. The Good asked us to print 5 different self promotional postcards that eloquently sent a message to their potential clients about who they were and what they have to offer.

I think it is safe to say that this is the largest wedding invitation that we have ever printed. Designed by the talented Adam Garcia of The Pressure.org, means that we would expect no less. Falling no short of 11 inches wide and 19 inches tall, this poster wedding invitation takes the cake. We’re certain that the size of this poster is but a fraction of the love being celebrated on Christina and Chris’s big day. Yea for big days and big poster wedding invitations!

A fitting event in celebration of the launch of First Friday’s new Central Eastside map!

UNION/PINE is hosting our wonderfully talented neighbors at ADX for an exciting group show, in the spirit of bringing communities together through neighborhood partnerships. Portland’s SE First Friday has had moments of glory, and moments of being lost in the shuffle, but the fresh committee built up of ADX’s Kelley Roy and Alexandria Cummings, Summer Killingsworth and Patrick Triato at UNION/PINE, and community member Renee Palmer is aiming to give the 10 year old art walk a powerful boost.

The new “1F” branding has received a great response, and the launch of the updated map of the Cental Eastside district designed by Taylor Lineberger at ADX is sure to follow suit. Highlighting the area known as the CEID, this map stretches from Burnside to Division, and 12th to Grand.

We are thrilled to be presenting works from such a diverse and skilled list of makers, including prints from the renowned Kate Bingaman Burt, who has been featured in everything from ReadyMade to Apartment Therapy, and Will Bryant, whose work has covered The New York Times Magazine, and Good. The portfolio of Keegan Wenkman is highlighted by Flaming Lips, Langhorne Slim, and Wild Flag, and his contributions are bound to delight. Nicole Lavelle has held solo exhibitions in Land and Compound Galleries, and along with Nicole Clemetson has appeared in Willamette Week, Portland Mercury, and Portland Monthly.

Repping the solid workforce behind ADX, this lineup is surely a First Friday show to catch.

“Without the varied talents of gifted artisans with whom we collaborate, we are but The Good Society. By Standing on the shoulders of giants like you, we believe now more than ever, that anything is possible.” – GS

The aforementioned statement sums it up perfectly. We are extremely honored to have been called on to produce a top quality print for the good folks over at The Great Society. The fact that I’m not writing this from Stalin’s Gulag, proves we did our best and gained a new comrade.
